Seiko Speedtimer Solar Chronograph
Seiko Speedtimer Solar Chronograph. For those living an adventurous life SSC943, Seiko Prospex keeps moving ahead and overcoming challenges through advanced technologies and designs. Rugged and handsome-looking, this watch comes in a line of watches inspired by classic motorsports of the seventies, which is the period when the first Seiko “Speedtimer” chronograph was created in 1969 – the first self-winding chronograph ever. Being inspired by racing sports, this retro design is characterized by the aesthetics typical for lightweight sports cars. The chronograph function measures elapsed time at increments of 1/5 seconds up to 60 minutes, while measuring split times is possible as well. In addition, the solar cell provides energy from any kind of lighting without changing the battery, and once being fully charged, it will last for six months. The dial is finished in ivory sunray with three subdials with black markings, displaying 24 hours, power reserve indicator, calendar date, and LumiBrite hands and indices.
